To hang your Inchies with ribbon, for one ornament you’ll need:
- 22″ of 1/8″ satin ribbon
- Craft glue that dries clear
- Small paint brush
When you’re using ribbon to hang the Inchies, you can either arrange the Inchies hanging like squares, or like diamonds, or some of each, or even totally wonky and uneven for a more fun look. Get creative! This tutorial is written with the Inchies hanging like diamonds.
Lay out your six Inchies in the order you’d like to put them together.
Take one row of three and set it aside for now. Fold the ribbon approximately in half and lay it next to the remaining three Inchies.
Use the paint brush to apply a small amount of glue to the back of each Inchie, and press the folded ribbon into the glue. Lift the top layer of the ribbon slightly, and put a little glue between the ribbons where the ribbons cross the backs of the Inchies as well.
Leave approximately ½” between the Inchies.
When all three Inchies are glued to the ribbon, use the paintbrush to apply a small to medium amount of glue to the back of each of the three remaining Inchies.
Tip: Use only enough glue to make the Inchies stick to each other, but not so much that glue seeps out the edges!
Press each Inchie into place over the ribbon, Inchie backs together, keeping the ribbon between the Inchies. Let dry, following glue manufacturer’s instructions. Hang and enjoy!
